40 year old Lawrence Clinton Chambers stabbed his 43 year old wife, Jemal Lockridge Chambers 119 times in the head and back. He also beat his 13 year old step-son with a frying pan causing the pan to shatter.

Jemal Chambers and her son were found lying in a pool of blood by her 14 year old daughter. The daughter was at her grandmother’s house when the killing occurred. After seeing her mother and brother covered in blood, the 14 year old ran to a neighbor’s house for help.

“I saw the look on that little girl’s face and she’ll have nightmares for the rest of her life,” Robert Chavis, the neighbor, said.

Chambers was pronounced dead at the scene. The son was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital in serious condition. He suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and disfigurement to the face.

Lawrence Chambers turned himself in after he confessed to his brother. He says he, “lost it” and doesn’t remember what he did to his step-son.

An order of protection was ordered for the 13 year old.

Chambers is being held with out bond.
