When Chris Brown first hit (no pun intended) the scene in 2005, he seemed to be a nice teenager with a bubble gum image. His popularity grew over night. Young girls fell in love with him and his music. In 2008, Chris began a public relationship with singer Rihanna. It is rumored that Chris and Rihanna’s relationship was fake and they were placed together to stop the rumors that Rihanna was sleeping with her manager, Jay Z. However, Rihanna and Chris started to really like each other and the relationship eventually became authentic.
In 2009, Chris Brown allegedly brutally beat Rihanna after she confronted him about a text message he received from his female manager. According to industry socialite, Tela Tequila, Chris beat Rihanna because she gave him herpes.
According to another source, the Rihanna beating was set up:
When Rihanna was riding in the car with Chris Brown she started beating herself up and from what I understand from some at the music label, Chris Brown was supposed to be shot and killed by the Hollywood PD along June St. in Hancock Park but something went wrong.
Rihanna’s job was to get Chris Brown coked up (they both were using) and paranoid the night of the supposedly “domestic violence” incident and then to drive him out of the car on foot along the dark and shady streets of Hancock Park, where the homes are always dark and placed far back from the streets behind gated fences. Chris Brown was supposed to be Rihanna’s sacrifice but he escaped her black widow clutches.
The above statement is a little hard to believe, but take it how you will.

Recently, Chris has been in the news for snatching a phone from a fan, fighting rapper/singer Drake inside a night club, beating up Frank Ocean and his albums have been banned in the UK.
*update 4/4/2013* Even though he’s apologized consistently since 2009, the incident with Rihanna is still being brought up during current interviews. As far as the other situations, either Chris is hard headed or the situations are being blown out of proportion.
He’s being publicly humiliated and portrayed as emotionally unstable with a horrible temper. This makes one wonder if Chris Brown is being targeted because he beat Rihanna or is it because of something he did (or didn’t) do behind the scenes.
